How it works
The PiCUS works by taking readings of the velocity of sound waves through the area being tested from numerous sensors that are placed around the stem, and struck in turn to pass sound waves through the tree.
Results are recorded to provide a colour Tomograph which shows a consistency of the wood within, and will show if there is decay present and to what extent the wood is affected.
